Privacy Policy for AirFlow ProCalc

1. Information stored on your device

AirFlow ProCalc performs its airflow calculations on your device. When you choose to save work, the App stores information locally, which may include:

• Job names and saved duct sizes;
• Airflow, velocity, friction-rate, and static-pressure inputs and results;
• Total Effective Length (TEL) worksheets, fitting details, and related notes;
• Air-balancing measurements and worksheets; and
• Local app preferences, export-attempt dates, and recovery copies used to protect or restore saved work.

You may choose to enter names or other identifying information into job fields. We do not operate an AirFlow ProCalc account or cloud database that receives your saved jobs. Your saved job records are not sent to us during normal calculation or saving.

2. Limited information used for software updates

The App uses Expo Update to check for and download compatible software updates. When the App connects to Expo's update services, Expo may process technical information such as an IP address, device operating-system/platform information, application or runtime version, update channel, and randomized tokens or update-download information. This is used to deliver and monitor software updates, not to upload your job worksheets or calculations.

For details on Expo's data practices, see Expo's Privacy Policy. The App's calculators and locally saved work can be used without an internet connection; checking for updates requires connectivity.

3. Backups, file imports, and sharing

You may manually export saved work as a JSON backup file and later import a backup. You choose where to save or obtain that file, such as local device storage, Apple's Files app, iCloud Drive, Google Drive, or another file-storage provider. If you share a job summary or feedback, your device's sharing features let you select the receiving app or person.

AirFlow ProCalc does not automatically upload your job files to a cloud service operated by us. However, Apple, Google, or another provider may back up app data through your device's operating-system backup settings, even if you do not manually export a file. Files you export or share may be stored or processed by the destination you select. These external services are governed by their own privacy policies and controls.

Temporary files created for import or export are handled locally. Backup files are readable JSON and are not separately encrypted by AirFlow ProCalc. Store and share them accordingly.

4. Contacting support

If you choose to email us or send feedback, we may receive the email address, message, device details, screenshots, job information, or other attachments you voluntarily provide. We use that information to answer your request, investigate problems, and maintain appropriate business records. We do not automatically receive your saved jobs when you use the feedback option.

5. Payments and purchases

Purchases of the App are processed by Apple App Store or Google Play, as applicable. We do not collect or store your payment-card details within AirFlow ProCalc. The app stores may process purchase information and provide us with standard sales or transaction reports under their own policies.

6. Advertising, analytics, and permissions

The current App does not include advertising networks, third-party advertising trackers, general-purpose app analytics SDKs, AI services, or account registration. We do not sell your personal information or use your saved work for targeted advertising.

The App does not request access to your GPS location, contacts, camera, or microphone. Selecting a backup file uses the device's file picker or sharing interface rather than unrestricted access to your files. The limited technical information associated with software updates is described in Section 2.

7. When information may be shared

Information may be processed by the following parties in the circumstances described above:

• Expo, to provide software updates and related technical operations;
• Apple, Google, or your selected storage provider, for app/device backups, purchases, or files you choose to save or share;
• Recipients or apps you select when sharing job summaries, backup files, or feedback; and
• Service providers handling support communications, or authorities where disclosure is legally required.

We do not sell information entered into the App or provide it to advertising networks.

8. Security

Saved work is stored in the App's local device storage and benefits from security protections provided by your device and operating system. The App does not apply a separate encryption layer to locally saved job records or exported JSON backup files. Access to exported files depends on where you save or share them. No storage or transmission method is guaranteed to be completely secure.

9. Retention and deletion

Saved jobs remain on your device until you delete them, clear the App's storage, or uninstall the App. The App may retain local recovery snapshots, so deleting an individual job does not necessarily erase earlier copies held for recovery. Clearing all App data or deleting the App (rather than offloading it) generally removes locally stored app records.

Deleting a job or the App does not automatically delete backups already exported to Files, iCloud Drive, Google Drive, or other destinations, or copies retained by an operating-system backup service. Manage those copies through the relevant file or backup provider. You control deletion of files you have exported or shared.

If you contact us, we retain support correspondence only as reasonably needed to handle your request, administer our business, and meet legal obligations. You can request deletion of information you provided directly to us using the contact details below, subject to applicable retention requirements.

10. Privacy requests and choices

Because saved jobs are local and we do not maintain user accounts for AirFlow ProCalc, we cannot view, retrieve, or remotely delete the jobs saved on your device. You can manage them directly using the App and your device's storage or backup settings.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information held by us. For assistance with information you have sent to support, contact support@hvacrai.com.

11. Children

AirFlow ProCalc is designed for HVAC professionals and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly solicit personal information from children through the App. If you believe a child has sent personal information to our support team, contact us to request its review or deletion.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy if the App's features, service providers, or legal requirements change. We will revise the effective date above when changes are made. The current version will be available through the App's privacy-policy link.
